Patterns are the actual building blocks to fashion. Most garments created and sold started off as a set of "puzzle pieces" that a seamstress cut from the fabric and fit together. They require a lot of precision to ensure that all the pieces fit together perfectly. If you are looking to start a clothing line or company, a skilled pattern maker and technical designer will be your biggest asset!
